We went to Quadra Island (a 10 min. ferry ride from Campbell River) and spent the day at the beach collecting shells, rocks and other interesting items. John found ways to entertain himself and the kids with the treasures they found on the shore. We also went digging for clams and oysters. I think Kayla and her cousin Rebecca ate the most clams.
