Moving Up

When we arrived in the Philippines, Kayla was three. With still some baby fat around her face, young in her speech, Kayla was coming out of toddlerhood. Her first experience leaving home to go to school was here as she entered Preschool.

Today, as Kayla had her Moving Up Day (kindergarten graduation), she's a totally different kid. Her baby fat is gone, she speaks like she's in junior high school (I think it's from watching TV and her classmates who watch High School Musical) and she's grown a few inches. It's really amazing to us how much she's grown in the past two years.

As we, as a family prepare to leave, we are remembering how we were when we first came and like Kayla, we were young in many ways. We have also finished kindergarten it seems. It looks like we all moved up today.
