The total 14 hour journey back to Canada was brutal but we're alive. We're jet-lagged and cold. We're all bundled up like it's the middle of winter when it's Spring in Vancouver. John and Keona caught colds and we're looking for a place to live. It's a strange feeling being back, don't quite know where my head is (or my heart).
We are thankful that we are able to stay at Dad's for these next couple of weeks. We've pretty much converted his little, quiet abode into a suitcase filled, kid play area. Yes, we do need a place of our own soon. Poor Dad.
We took a look at a place nearby today and it's really a great suite. The landlord said that there's another family interested in it so they will have to discuss who to give the suite to. I guess we'll see whether we'll get this place or not soon.
It truly feels like we're homeless, not only do we not have a physical place to call 'home' but we're not at a place in our hearts where we feel 'at home' just yet either. I wonder if we will.
